Classical Fencing at Fort Langley - September 29, 2019

​Classical Fencing at Fort Langley, held in partnership with Salle Saint-George and Fort Langley Historical Site, is a one-of-a-kind event where we get the opportunity to practice our discipline in one of the earliest European settlements in British Columbia. 
While practicing in the historical fort is a treat in itself, this event is also unique in that it allows students who have previous Classical Fencing experience and those without to work together.  The workshops are structured in a way where students of varying backgrounds can all benefit.  This year, we will be practicing with the Military Sabre, French Knife, and Bayonet.  Furthermore, as Classical Fencing was traditionally not limited to only martial practice but was also concerned with the cultivation of the whole individual.  We will also be hosting an etiquette class titled, “Conversation: It’s All About You!”  In this class, we will look at how conversation is not only just a social activity but also a means to communicate expectations and boundaries while preserving the dignity for all parties involved.  For the prices of the various programmes offered please refer to the guide below:
