2019 Group Assignments
The January Group Assignment and Schedule will be sent out shortly. There will be significant changes both in groups and scheduling, so please pay close attention.
Winter Break - November 25th to January 4th
The last class of 2018 will be Saturday, November 24th. Classes will resume on Saturday, January 5th, 2019.
Invoices
Invoices have been sent out to most Group Ones and will be sent to Group Twos and Threes shortly. Due to a busy schedule, these invoices will include all balance owing from April 2018 to November 2018. Private Lessons, Workshops, and Unofficial Sessions during November and December of 2018 will be included in the next invoice.
Private Lessons - December 2018
Private lessons will be available in December, please contact Joe if you are interested in scheduling a lesson
Concours Internationaux - April 2019
The Concours Internationaux has been postponed to April 9th, 2019, more information will be given shortly.
December Fencing
The deadline for registration for the unofficial sessions in December is tonight at 9:30 pm. So far only six members have responded by email and we are short three people to be able to hold either session. The cost is $15 per person per session and they will be held at St. James Community Square.
Gift Suggestion
Joe would like to thank everyone for the many gifts that he has received from students in previous year at year's end. However, this year, he wanted to make a suggestion that breaks with tradition. The Salle Saint-Georges/Center for Traditional Arts has invested a lot into their new space. Instead of individual presents, Joe has suggested for those inclined to make a donation to the SSG/CTA this year instead. Joe himself will be making a donation of $25 but, if we can all chip in any amount great or small, this will help greatly with establishing a beautiful space for classical fencing and other classical arts in our part of the world. As with all payments, please present in class in an appropriately marked envelope to Joe or one of the officers. Alternatively, Interac eTransfer is a possibility as well. Please consider this.
Wishing everyone a restful winter break.
Happy holidays.
