Gift Suggestion
Joe would like to thank everyone for the many gifts that he has received from students in previous year at year's end.  However, this year, he wanted to make a suggestion that breaks with tradition.  The Salle Saint-Georges/Center for Traditional Arts has invested a lot into their new space.  Instead of individual presents, Joe has suggested for those inclined to make a donation to the SSG/CTA this year instead.  Joe himself will be making a donation of $25 but, if we can all chip in any amount great or small, this will help greatly with establishing a beautiful space for classical fencing and other classical arts in our part of the world.  As with all payments, please present in class in an appropriately marked envelope to Joe or one of the officers.  Alternatively, Interac eTransfer is a possibility as well.  Please consider this.

Wishing everyone a restful winter break.
Happy holidays.

Invoices
Invoices will be being sent out shortly.  Please make your payments as soon as possible once you have received your invoice.  Payments may be made by cheque, cash, or e-transfer.  If payment is being made in cheque or cash, please ensure that it is in an envelope with the student's name clearly printed on the outside.  When bringing payment in to class, it may be placed on the white binder on the stage or given to the Chef de Salle or l'Assistant de Salle.

Congratulations Mr. Abello
As both the Chef de Salle and l'Assistante de Salle have begun university and therefore will be more inconsistent in their attendance, it has been decided that Mr. Juan Abello will be appointed as the Acting Deputy of the Chef de Salle.  The Chef's Deputy is an Officer of the Salle who is responsible for acting as the eyes and ears of the Chef and l'Assistante when they are both absent.  He has the responsibility for ensuring the rules of the Salle are followed, and has the power to deal with minor infractions while reporting more major or repeated infractions to the Chef.  Please treat Mr. Abello as you would any Officer of the Salle.
